Dear Blogger,

sigh* bored out of my mind. Contemplating on whether I should do my homework because I haven't touched it since the beginning of the 5-day weekend. Wow, FIVE days already gone just like *snap* haha. Gotta work on the "no more procrastinating" deal. Bad habit and it's going to kill my grades if I don't watch it.

hm. let see let see. oh!

WILDFIRE! New episode in about an hour. Cannot wait. I didn't see last week's episode cuz I was probably doing something else, can't remember, but anyways I saw the teaser for tonight's episode and >.< !!! JUNIOR & KRIS FOREVER! Those two look so cute together! Why do the writers bother trying? Those two are going to be together! haha. But I guess where's the fun if there's no drama. ;p
ok, I sound like a no-life tv show fanatic. moving on. hm...oh!

I made (or at least tired to) Banana Foster today. My inspiration: I saw an episode of Take Home Chef [the host is so cool. i like his Australian accent] and the dessert he made for this one couple he was cooking for was Banana Foster. It looked easy enough to make, so I was like "wth. that looks easy...I should make that". And so I did. I even took a picture of it, but I'm not going to post it because its too much work and it wasn't that great anyways. The caramel or syrup hardened when it wasn't suppose to so that ruined the whole dessert. Plus, it was too sweet. At the end, I threw the whole thing away. =[
.........!!!

Today, as I was just sitting in front of my computer being useless like always, I realized that I haven't played the guitar in a really long while. You want to know how I know? Because when I did play my guitar today, my fingers hurt like AH!. That's the thing about the guitar. You can't just practice practice practice, not practice for awhile and then get back on it again without feeling pain cuz your fingertips will lose its callus. Sounds kind of gross, but it helps you not feel pain when you have to constantly press on hard strings.

hmmmmmm........

Highlight of my 5-day weekend: Family party. Celebrated February birthday celebrants and my cousin's Baby Shower. She's already like 5 months pregnant and I didn't even know she was pregnant till like the day before the party. Gah. I'm slow.
But it was quite exciting. Yay! We are having a new niece!~

rawr?

Oh dangit! I'm still reading The Catcher in the Rye. That book is not as interesting as I thought it would be. So hard for me to finish. And all the " God darnit", but in a meaner way is getting on my nerves. waaahhhh.....

oookk. have nothing else to babble about.
I'm out (-_-)v

oooooo! wait.

BTW
This is kind of late but....
THANK YOU SAAYA!!!
for the very much loved Bento Box! <33

really appreciate it! =]

Muuuwat?

I've been sad lately. Don't know why....hmm actually I do, I just don't want to tell ya'll about it. Just wanted to say I've been down in the dumps. Someone turn my frown upside down?

hmk. anyways.

sano and nakatsu contest
Hana Kimi [Hanazakari no Kimitachi e]
Recently, saw this really awesome funny Japanese drama. (This is the Japanese version of the Taiwanese drama Hana Kimi. ) It's about this girl, Ashiya Mizuki, who disguises herself as a boy in an all boys school to help out her idol, Sano Izumi, high jump once again. It's cheesy at times I have to admit, but really cute and entertaining, even though these kinds of dramas never turn out the way I want. >.>

**Nakatsu + Misuki! >.<

Free Period

Yup, free periods are usually the time when students catch up on some homework. You know, be productive, not procrastinating, and such.

Psh! Riight.
Why do all that boring old stuff when you can just do totally Unproductive things like going to random stores and taking random pictures of well...random things. right? I mean that's way more fun than boring homework. =]

haha actually, doing this little store adventures has been pretty cool. I mean, there are a lot of handy-dandy stores that people don't know about or at least I didn't know about. Guess that wasn't so unproductive after all.

ahhh!
I wanted to sign up for classes in this dojo. The inside was pretty neat. It had like a lot of karate stuff. And like paintings of animals representing different martial arts style. Yup yup. neat stuff, but the dude that was there kind of scared me..so..yeah.. I got scared. So we didn't stay too long. The weapons were cool too though.

The best part of the trip! Ice Cream!!!
Chocolate Chip and Silvia got a clown one (we thought of Monique, she hates clowns). haha

Key Club

This was what Monique, Silvia, and I baked for Key Club's Valentines Pot Luck with the Kiwanis. Yayy. Cute huh?

Each and everyone of the cupcakes were individuals. No two cupcakes were the same. We were also going to name each one of them, but there were too many.

This was the first one I decorated.
Named him Dopey.

Last weekend

Made Asian Rice with Snow Peas and Shrimp

It turned out ok. My cousins said they liked it. So did my mom and brother. My sister, however, said that it tasted like any other food with rice. haha.
And my dad said that the rice was not cooked well and the sauce with rice was ek AND I didn't serve the snow peas right because I think you were suppose to take out like a string thing in the spine of it to make it easier to eat. haha. Oh well. I'll do better next time. =P

Maki:Sushi:

Yesterday. 02/02/08.
Made sushi for the very FIRST time! woot~
I've been wanting to make sushi all week and finally...Wala!

This one is suppose to be Futomaki, with spring onions, steamed salmon, lettuce, and carrot...but I don't think that's what its really suppose to look like. And there were suppose to be eight pieces all together, but one got kinda messed up when i was cutting...so I didn't include that one in the picture. Aw, poor sushi piece...I should've taken a picture of you before throwing you away! Oh well, in honor of that sushi piece for not being eaten, I will name it...uhhh...suggestions anyone?
Hm. I also may have not rolled the sushi tight enough making it kinda fall apart when cutting. hmm... =[

looks and taste pretty good for a first though. ;P

Also....

Watched
Mad Money (starring Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes) with Monique and Silvia. Originally we planned on going to see The Eye, but Monique woke up too late. Darn, I wanted to see that one too, but I'm glad we saw Mad Money. It was good. Funny. haha. Entertaining. Go watch it! =P

After the movies, we went to Dollar Tree to get a grab to eat. Also bought other random stuff we found like Mayonnaise and cookie cutters. Dollar Tree was pretty cool. There are so many things in there and very cheap.

And, in case you were wondering, No. those are not real burgers and fries. Dollar Tree is not fast food. And Yes, they are made out of marshmallows and the ketchup is candy flavored.

And yea, we did taste them. Why? No clue. I guess we are just into marshmallow food. If you ever feel like trying something new, then stop by your local Dollar Tree store and purchase these edible marshmallow burgers and fries. With candy flavored ketchup for the fries. They'll blow your taste buds. Guaranteed.

Today. 02/03/08.
Another attempt on sushi-making.
This time i tried making Inside-out Rolls with the same ingredients.
Again, I don't think they're suppose to look like that, BUT i blame the knife this time! It was too dull...so I had a hard time cutting the rolls. Taste-wise, they weren't that bad. (^.^)v

ah! I will master the art of sushi-making!!! x] i will!

Currently reading the Catcher in the Rye

Photobucket
Yup yup! I got mad culinary skills! xD
haha. No, this is actually a very simple recipe to follow. It's so easy a caveman can do it! ;P
It's yummy too & good source of fiber and potassium.

Here's how ya make it: [I got this from a magazine. If this instructions aren't clear, i guess Google for the recipe.]
Ingredients:
-Whole-wheat bread [or any bread i guess]
-Creamy peanut butter [its better than with nuts. ek]
-Banana [sliced]

1. Coat skillet with nonstick cooking spray; heat medium.
2. Spread peanut butter on slice of bread; cover with banana slices and place on skillet; grill with ingredients facing up.
3. Top with second bread slice, flip sandwich, and grill for a couple mins.
4. Tada! You're done.

Unproductive...ness.

The title says it all.
Thats why I made this blog thing...so I can at least look back at how "unproductive" I was [or am..?].

Currently reading:
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
I've been "currently reading" this book like 3 times already. I really need to finish this dam book.
rebel angels

My Book Goal: I plan [or at least will try] on reading 50 books this year just for the heck of it. So, if my calculations are correct, thats like a book per week plus an extra two books.
Some may think I'm such a nerd for doing this and maybe they're right, but at least I can't say I don't have anything to do at any point through the course of this year right? haha. Just trying to be more productive is all. =]

Books I read so far:
1.]Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer [Jan. 6]-- Highly recommend this book! Its the third book of the Twilight series. If you're girl, you HAVE to read this series!
2.]Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen [Jan. 9]

I'm currently listening to: "Wish" by Arashi

Theme song of the Japanese drama- Hana Yori Dango.
Hana Yori Dango
I recommend people checking out that drama...and by that I mean only watch it if you are into "love triangle" stories. The genre I would put this drama is Romantic Comedy. So, if you're a fan of that sort, check it out.

*Note: Matsuda Shota who plays Nishikado Soujiro in the drama = cute! haha.
